New instance of Reporting Services for CRM 4.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a question. I'm about to install CRM 4.0 in an environment that I've not been before. We have two servers to install CRM 4.0 on NBL. Also two clustered SQL servers for failover. Additional to this, my Reporting server is on a separate server.
Currently, the report server is already used for other things and not the idea which is dedicated to CRM. Say that is pointing to a site x, something like http://sitex.com.mx/reportserver
I understand that when you install and then the CRM SSRS connector, the application pool of the instance of RS will be the CRM. That's why I want to know if I need to create a new instance of RS just for CRM? Or It's ok with the new ReportServer Virtual Directory that the installation of the coneccotr will make? Should I configure a new Report Manager site for CRM?

    Thank you.
