Encouraging developers to post to MS-Connect coming from forums RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello.
I'm a big fan of the MS Connect site, it has a lot of creative energy emerging out of it.
I'm also a big fan of MS-forums, and they help me fix 80% of the problems i face while working.

Since i usually find a lot of interesting new ideas right here in the forums, i often wonder whether these ideas reach the people in charge at Microsoft.

My suggestion is to somehow place the link for the connection that is related to the forum in an easily accessible place such that the original poster becomes encouraged to go ahead and post his "currently unsolved" issue to Microsoft Connect.

    For example, this forum:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/oxmlsdk/threads
    is related to this connection:
    https://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=589

while the Sql Server product has too many forums, but only one Connection
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer
i think making a link about which forum the suggestion in MS Connect came from would help route the issue within Microsoft's tracking system faster and easier.

BTW, why don't we have a Connection for the Forums software, instead of this forum?
I believe a connection would be much more organized, since it is geared towards this function; with cool features like voting and showing the official Microsoft response
