Moderator: Posting to 'Locked' Threads

    Question

  •  As a Moderator, I want to be able to reply to a Locked thread.
Currently, it is necessary to 'Unlock' the thread, post the reply, and then 'Lock' the thread again.

Seems that a Moderator level privilege would be to allow posts to Locked threads without so much effort.

  • We actually discussed this and decided that 'locked' means 'locked'.  How often do you need to do this sort of thing?

  • The one scenario we thought of where this really made sense was when you're using a thread as an FAQ. However, we decided to consider a different thread type to support this, rather than change what lock means. Does that make sense to you?
