Dear ampatel,
Thank you for your interest in the Buy Local program. It appears that you are not eligible as you did not purchase your machine from a system builder, as stated in your diagnostic report:
Windows License Type: OEM SLP
Upon further investigation, it appears you machine was purchased from Hewlett-Packard.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or comments.
Thank you,
BethFriday, December 7, 2007 9:33 PM -
A review of your MGA report reveals two noteable items:
Windows License Type: OEM SLP
Office Status: 108 Invalid VLK
1) You have a HP computer with a HP preinstalled version of Windows Vista.HP is a major OEM supplier and is not eligible for the Bonus Pack Offer.
Please review the following:
How can I tell if the copy of Microsoft Windows that was installed on my computer is eligible for the BONUS PACK offer?: http://www.localpcbuilder.com/eligible/
2) You have a non-genuine, illegal copy of Microsoft Office Enterprise installed. Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ and click on Validate Office for further information.

Ok thanks,
But I am just concerned that windows can't be retail and can't be OEM; then what should it be to be eligible?
Also, HP is not considered a system builder?

Dear ampatel,
Thank you for your reply. In order to redeem these offers you need to have purchased your system from a System Builder. Hewlett-Packard is a OEM not a System Builder. To view the list of eligible System Builders visit http://www.localpcbuilder.com/buylocal_faq.aspx
Thank you,
Beth
