  •  where can i get the study material required to certify the course.

If you follow the links for each of the exams, for instance, starting from this page:

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-sql-server.aspx#tab2

you will find a tab named "Preparation Materials", for example, this one:

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-432&locale=en-us#tab3

If you want to study by yourself, I suggest the Self-Paced Training Kits. These are usually very good and easy to follow, and they will get you a long way towards preparing for the exam.

  • Hi

I give you the possible maps, and you have to decide which is the most suitable for you

    1. SQL server administration needs the 70-432 Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Installation and Maintenance and then the 70-450 Designing, Optimizing and Maintaining a Database Server Infrastructure using Microsoft SQL Server 2008

If you want to specialize your self on administering databases and sql server instances, make backup recovery plans and managing disasters, administering users and establish firm policies.

    2. SQL server development needs the 70-433 Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development and the 70-451 Designing Database Solutions and Data Access Using Microsoft SQL Server 2008

If you want to specialize your self in designing data bases(you know first, second, third normal forms it sounds something certainly for you) and following the best practices to design data tables then querying data using T SQL

    3. SQL server Business Intelligence. It needs the 70-448 Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance and the 70-452 Designing a Business Intelligence Infrastructure Using Microsoft SQL Server 2008

My prefered one ;) Its about designing Business Intelligence solutions, it is composed by three sub levels

SSIS Sql server integration services to Extract transform and load data from a place to another place

SSAS to analyse the data in a multidimensional way using MDX that stands for Multi dimensional expressions instead of SQL and DMX that stands for data mining expressions to predict data(Therefore it is called business intelligence ;) )

SSRS to report data that is stored within Data base

This field is not restricted only to Sql server but to oracle, other db forms and event file systems

I hope that I clarified the road for you. If you're satisfied don't forget to mark this as answer
