StatusReason for a Case (Incident) RRS feed

  • In Dynamics CRM 2011 on premises we have been asked to edit the Case (Incident) entity so that for a Status of "Active" a StatusReason may contain the option "Closed". The user then wants to create a View which searches for Cases where the StatusReason is Closed.

    Is this a meaningful addition to make to the StatusReason field? Is it not rather the case that the user should mark the Case as either Resolved or Cancelled and use the Status field for the View?
