how to access another shared folder using another user account after logged in with self user account RRS feed

  • I am getting below error message while access the other user's folder.

    "Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.."

  • That's normal.

    With Vista or Windows 7 you could use the fast user switching (if the other account also exists on the client) or you operate with runas command in a command prompt to open a new cmd prompt as that different user and try to map a network drive, which you only can access from within the same command prompt.

    If you need access to another shared folder, it is intended to set the appropriate permissions on the share level in the console. (After doing so, you may have to log off and log on again on the client, so that it sees the changed permissions.
