NOD32 AntiVirus Issues with Communicator RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I'm halfway through a deployment of OCS R2 for a customer. I just today discovered why the group of test users have been having so much difficulty with voice and desktop sharing. There is a known issue with the way NOD32 anti-virus handles network sockets.

When NOD32 is enabled, desktop sharing fails and audio calls cause Communicator to hang. Works fine when NOD32 is disabled.

The customer has NOD32 deployed throughout the organization. They are on an older version and plan to upgrade soon. I'm not sure of the specific version numbers, but I was wondering if anyone else had run into this issue before and if a newer version of NOD32 corrected the issue?
