  • Hi,

Have you tried the solution mentioned in the blog. And what is the result?

The blog mentioned that client backup failed due to KB2781271. As you problem happens after installing update, you can check Windows Update History and confirm that if this KB has been installed recently - before problem happens.

    Best Regards,
    Eve Wang

  • Yes, I tried it and it fixed my problem.

I no longer have the KB history. Before I found that solution, I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling the patch. I noticed that one of the patches didn't get reinstalled (4049016) so I followed another solution to reset the update history. 4049016 still didn't get offered for reinstall - it looks like got got pulled? But that's not really an issue - just the reason why I reset my update history.
