I recently installed my second year of One Care. After unistalling the old and installing then new I still have the at risk icon with the need to renew flag. Its been 2 full days now. I sthis normal?

It was not necessary to uninstall One Care. See this post on how to use your retail product key to renew a One Care subscription -
