  • Question

  • Hi,

My Profile is empty after the move from the previous forums to the new.
    Could you check my profile?

When I login anc go to My Profile it doesn't contain my previous settings (it's emtpy like a new account).
"There is not any information for the request user."

When I go to My Threads it shows:
    "Error 404
    Page Not Found
We're sorry, but the page you requested could not be found. Please check your typing and try again, or use the search options on this page."

Let me know what information you need from me, to check my profile.

    Thanks!
    Yuri

  • I'm guessing that it likely has to do with the "+" in your user name. When that gets put on a URL, the system is likely decoding it to a space. Could you try taking the "+" out and see if that fixes it? If so, we'll need to catch that somehow...

  • Hi Yuri-

We recently had a release to the Forums 3.x platform.  Are you still experiencing the issue you reported?

    Thanks-

  • Hi Yuri-

What is your user name in the previous Forums 2.5 platform so I can investigate this?

    Thanks-

  • Hi Alicia and Matt,

Sorry for my late response, but I didn't get any alerts from this post.

I can't change my profile settings, because when I click My Profile at the top I get a new page with:
    =============

    User Profile

There is not any information for the request user.
    =============

My profile name is: "yuri gmt+1"

This is a link to one of my old posts:  http://forums.technet.microsoft.com/en-US/winserverTS/thread/2591dace-dec3-4c72-98d6-1a02110b6092/

    Thanks for helping,
I will monitor this threat more closely.

    Thanks,
    Yuri

    Hello,

    Could you help me please?!

I would like to participate in the forums, but I can’t do it this way.

There is no threat history, I receive no alerts…. (probably because my profile is empty).

    Thank you,

    Yuri

I believe there is a bug filed on it and the Profile team is looking into it. The problem is that the "+" sign in your name, when put in a URL, gets decoded at the other end as a space. When the system goes to look up "Yuri GMT 1" in the DB, it obviously doesn't exist.

Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you ;) One of the issues with a system this large is that even if it's a 5 min dev fix (and I don't know if this is), you can't just go pushing code into production. It takes a little time.

    Thanks
