Lead is Disqualified but still remain active? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, lead is active only when the state code is open. other than that the leads is considered inactive, am i right?
then let say, i have an custom status reason in disqualified state. i want if user select this status, the leads state and status changing but the lead condition is still active. is that possible to archive?

    Thank you.

  • None that I'm aware of to force the toolbar to show the "Open" state to show up when it is disqualified.

As a work-around, I would configrue the "simi-disqualified" status or another naming your client likes in the "Open" state since it is really not disqualified per MSCRM out of the box design.  This way the "Open" state functionality is intact.

  • The statecode values for a lead are : Open, Qualified, and Disqualified.  Open = Active; Qualified and Disqualified = InActive

As long as your custom status reason is under the Open then it is still active.

What is the reason  to keep it open (active) after it is disqualified?  Maybe we can come up with a workaround.

  • thanks for the response Frank. So  i forced the crm to add my new custom state. i added it from export\import entity. i'm adding a custom button to set the lead state to my custom state. now the problem is my client want my newly custom state to behave like the "Open" state (e.g: remain active, still get the convert lead buttons, follow up buttons). the reason is, my client sometimes get situation where the leads is not qualified but still can not categorized as disqualified yet.

so i'm stuck here. is there a way to make the toolbar in "Open" State show up? maybe using javascript?

    Thank you.
