  • Hi, I don't have an android phone for test right now, but have you tried with other mobile device or client so that we can make sure that WHS2011 is working correctly? You can also check if there is any available app for Android to access WHS2011 in Android market.

  • Are you trying to access the server via remote web access (https://yourservername.homeserver.com)?

  • At the moment I don't believe there are any compatible Android apps for managing WHS2011.

There is a version available for the Original WHS (WHSPhone), but I don't believe this functions with WHS2011.

However, I do believe there is a project in the works to port Moonlight (Silverlight for Linux) over to Android, So with any luck once that rolls out, we will be able to use all the normal functions of RWA on an android mobile using Moonlight.

  • If you are looking to get started accessing your shared folders you can download an app called "ES File Explorer" from the Google Play Store.

Here is a step by step to gain access to your server:

    1) First you must setup LAN;  in ES File Explorer top left press "Local" for a drop down menu then press "LAN"

    2) Tap "Menu" at the bottom of the screen (icon on the right) and select "New"

    3) Tap ""Server"

    4) Fill in: Server (IP Address), Username & Password (the one you use to login to your server).

    5) Tap "OK"

That should create a link to your server, it will show up as the IP Address of your server.

Now when you Tap the link it should populate your screen with all the shared folders on your server.

From there you can copy and paste to your tablet. I installed a SD Card and copied my Documents and eBooks to it for easy access when I am on the go.

Hope this helps get you started, Good Luck
