    Hello,

    I was wondering what is the difference between reassigning a closed activity and effectively doing the same thing by reassigning its regarding contact ?

    My issue is that while it is impossible to reassign a closed activity, reassigning its parent record (in my case a contact), seems to bypass that restriction. Why is it so ? What am I not seeing ?

    I don't suppose there is a difference in practice. However, when you reassign the contact the relationship cascading rules come into play and if they are configured to change the owner of related records then that is what happens.

    Think of it as an application restriction.
