Pending Applications in windows 8

  Hello,
  I am having this trouble for a few days. Whenever I try to install updates in any of the pre-installed applications in my windows 8 Samsung ultrabook, it stays on pending and after a while it says "The application wasn't installed. View details". The details are as follows, "Before you can use the Windows Store, you need to restart your PC to finish installing an update". This happens for all the applications, Bing, Kindle, Music, S Gallery, Video, S Player, Skype and the list goes on. This problem is really troubling me. Please provide some help. Thank you. :)
