TAPI Development RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a PBX that outputs a TAPI feed to a server running a CTI package. I would like to somehow connect to that server and control control TAPI but I'm not sure where to post the questions I have.

Right now my main question is: Why can't I see all extensions when I enumerate the addresses on my local machine (same domain)?

    Thanks

  • Sorry Dave, someone in that forum told me to go elsewhere so had to unmark your response as the answer.

    1) Unfortunately MS has shut down the old NNTP based newsgroups including: microsoft.public.win32.programmer.tapi

But luckily they were backed up and continued at Google groups: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/microsoft.public.win32.programmer.tapi
AFAIK this is currently (August 2013) the only existing forum dedicated to TAPI discussions.
In addition you can search within all newsgroup postings back till the group was established in 1996.

    2) Please describe your Telephony / TAPI environment more detailed.
Is the TSP (TAPI driver for the PBX) installed on a Telephony Server (TAPIMGMT.msc)?
Is your "local machine" using Remote TSP (TCMSETUP.exe) to access the Telephony Server?

Do you see no extensions at all or just some but not all extensions? Please clarify.
