Folder pairs groupping RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is folder pairs groupping can be implemented? I use SyncToy for number of tasks where I must synchronize multiple folder pairs at once. For example when I must go to another city I synchronize with my notebook and I can't make it in one folder pair because data stored in folders on multiple disks or too different folders (I can't add entrie disk and unchesk trees). So folder pairs groupping will be very useful and list with pairs can be shorten. I just set one check and SyncToy synchronize many pairs at once.

  • Hi -

I could not be sure from your question if you have checked out the "All Folder Pair" options which lets your check/uncheck folder pairs that you want to synchronize at the same time. This does not give you the flexibility of grouping them under a single name but it will at least let you hit Synchronize once on multiple folder pairs.

    Thanks

  • Yes, I know it. But when I have 34 folder pairs and for one task I neew 5 pairs, for second task I need 15 pairs and for other task I need 22 pairs it really hard to check/uncheck them manually.

    Yes, I need flexibility ^^

  • I would also need this feature.
Isn't it possible to do this with "runas /user:..."?
I have seen that Sznctoz saves folder pairs in c:\Users\user...\AppData\Local\Microsoft\SyncToy\2.0\
I mean I would make one set of folder pairs as user A and another set of folder pairs as user B.
Than synchronize folder pair set A as user A and folder pair set B as user B.
