Unable convert Office

Question

Hi,
I have downloaded the MLK Lisence Office Small Business 2007 (from http://trial.trymicrosoftoffice.com/msft-orpc/downloader.aspx?id=PcOBJ5VG5fDLj6k2HrO7Sp9yBiP1ln0ultUG954Ar%2bLDJQrqxIboNaUfv%2fv0dLi6VoOS1EEX9HOH4jq1URNONDXZyixQSIUEgoTad0C7tGlpW3m0m4X2PyZt57BszuiDLsUbYFCEI9UI6WpCAzK3glKUgtCYTgKGzAdfMrxOcFA%3d&culture=en-US). I bought the lisence earlier and runs into some trouble. One of the forum tech support member directed me to download the from the above site.
I m have convert to full product earlier on and the process was successful. Everything worked well for a week and after that all the office programs turned in 'read-only state'. Eventhought Small Business does not inlcude Access, this program still sits in the MS Folder at start menu. Tried to uninstall Access using Control Panel/Uninstall/Change but not sucessful either.
Brieft history of what I have done:
1. Install trial for Office Small Business (downloaded from UK site) then uninstalled it.
2. Install trial for Office Professional (downloaded from UK site) then tied to convert to full product using MLK lisence but unable too, so I uninstalled it.
3. Download from the above link and installed it with BCM, the process as descripted in the 1st paragraph.
4. tried to activate then convert again but nothing happens when clicked on activate button.
Attached the MGA tool Diagnostic report for easy reference. Pls help me as I needed to use these programmes for my daily works.

Hello brian-lee,
At the moment, you really don't have an Office Genuine Advantage problem because your installation of Office is not yet activated.
Given your description of the situation, in your place I would be inclined to uninstall anything Office-related to get a clean slate, then try it from "scratch."
This MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928218 tells you how to uninstall Office manually, and this one http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179/ has an MS FixIt that will do it.
You'll want to get more and better advice at the Office newsgroups here: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.office.setup&lang=en&cr=US
Good Luck!
