  • Dear Mary Block,

    If you purchased your machine from a participating System Builder (www.localpcbuilder.com/eligible), but when you try to redeem you are told you are ineligible, it may be because you have not yet activated your copy of Windows. Before posting here, please try the following steps:

    1. Right click on your "My Computer" / "Computer" icon and select properties.

    2. Scroll down to the last header, which should be "Windows activation".
    3. If Windows has not yet been activated, do so now.
    4. Try redeeming the offer again.

    If you still fail eligibility, please create a support incident at https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?c1=509&gprid=9860, then post the incident ID here so I can contact you directly.
