  • Hi All,

How do I stop CRM auto emailing on completion of a task?

Sorry but I cant find the answer anywhere on the web - or in the forums...

    Thanks in advance

  • Hey Steve -- CRM doesn't auto-email task completion out of the box. Likely someone wrote a workflow or plug-in to do this for you. If it's a workflow, go to Settings > Workflows (4.0) or Settings > Processess > Workflows (2011), change your view to All Workflows, and then disable/unpublish the workflow. This may affect other users.

  • Hi Phil,

Thanks for that. I was fairly certain but I had to double check.... There are absolutely no workflows in 'all workflows' or 'published workflows'. The guy that installed it has (apparently) put it in directly out of the box without any custom enhancements - but is no longer here...

  • Are you using CRM 4.0 or 2011? Online or On-Premises?

Depending on the version, you can see if the guy who installed it put in a plug-in to handle this. If it's 4.0 on-premises, you could try this tool to remove plug-ins: http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/crmplugin

  • Again, thanks for that Phil. It is CRM 4.0 and on-site.

I will give this a try and let you know how I get on.

    Best regards
