Using an Oulook Distribution List to create a SharePoint Group

Question
-
We have many Outlook distribution lists at my company and we have SharePoint Groups. In many cases the the SharePoint Groups will contain the same members as the Outlook DL.
Is there a way to use an existing Outlook DL to create a SharePoint Group. The way I am currently doing this is to create a SharePoint Group and add each member one at a time. Perhaps the raw data of an Outlook DL be downloaded from Outlook and uploaded to a new/existing SharePoint group.
Please do not confuse this with sending e-mailing to a SharePoint Group via Outlook. Thanks.
