Import PDF CV to CV Record Entity RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

My business uses the CV Record Entity to store our employee CV information.  Currently we have to manually add all the information via cut and paste into our CV record fields one at a time.

I'm wondering if anyone can think of a faster way to import this data into CRM 2016?

I'm thinking there has to be a way to write all this information into a excel spreadsheet and just import that spreadsheet into CRM so that after import a new CV record gets created.

  • Yes, you can directly import a spreadsheet of data into CRM using the Import Data command, which should be visible in the grid toolbar for your CV entity.

  • Its straight forward when it comes to mscrm,

    1. Create a crm view with all the required fields
    2. Open that view, in ribbon click Export To Excel => Static Worksheet
    3. Clear all rows in excel including hidden columns except the header row. This excel will be used as import template
    4. Now add rows to excel, each row represents a new record.
    5. Import it excel into crm and this should solve your problem.
