  • Hi there,

I purchased a sealed copy of Windows XP Pro from Ebay, and it includes a COA and Product Key that seem to pass the authentication requirements as per this page http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/howtotell/Software.aspx#Packaging.

I've contacted the seller, who insists it is a genuine copy. I've attached the diagnostic report below - just wondering if there is anything obvious in the report that gives away the problem?

    Many thanks in advance!

I can see no problem with the report – other than the obvious fact that it’s not activated.

Have you tried Telephone activation and speaking to an operator?
Pick the option to activate by phone, then, when the ansafone asks which service you require, do NOT respond – this should force an operator to pick up who can deal with your problem.
