SMS- drag to select several RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I would like to be able to drag my stylus (or finger) across multiple SMS messages to select them and delete them all at the same time (when viewing my inbox). I know you can technically do this by going into menu/select/several, but that is buggy and cumbersome. It would be easier and simpler if I could just select as many as I want by default. This is in WM 6.1 pro.

  • It is posible to do that with the stylus or without. With the stylus, just tap, hold and drag. Then press Delete. Otherwise, if you need to delete contiguous sms, click on the screen keyboard and use the stylus to click "Shift" and click the last email.

If you want to delete non-contiguous messages, select the first message you want to delete and click CTL then selct the messages you want to delete then click Delete.

Tap, hold, and drag does not work unless you first go into the menu and hit message, select, several. And when you do that, 90% of the time it does not work. It takes about 5 tries before it finally lets you select multiple messages. You have to get it just right. Forget about using your finger, it has to be done with a stylus. And even with a stylus, it only works if you hit the message at one particular point at the top and drag down. If you hit the message even 3/4 of the way up to the top, it doesn't work.

This has been a problem posted on just about every phone forum out there. I just thought I would post it here to make sure MS knew it was an issue.
