  • Hello Damon Cansler.

I suggest you to ask your question in the Microsoft MapPoint Forum at http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=streetsandtrips.

  • This can probably be done using one of two methods, but I can't guarantee either will work! So let us know how it goes.

    1. On a computer with both MapPoint 2006 and MapPoint 2013 installed, copy/paste layers from the 2006 Legend to the 2013 MapPoint Legend. I'm not sure of the exact versions, but I have heard people say they have had success with this (i.e. getting data from old versions into the latest).

    2. Use an intermediate version. While MapPoint 2013 will not open MapPoint 2006 PTM files directly, I think MapPoint 2010 can open 2006 PTM's, and MapPoint 2013 can open 2010 PTM's. So you have to open the 2006 PTM's in MapPoint 2010, Save, and then open the 2010 PTM's in MapPoint 2013.

Whether this is a big job or a small job you'd rather not tackle yourself, we'd be available to help or we can recommend someone. Just drop us a note consulting@mp2kmag.com
