Revert to Windows 7 not recognized as valid RRS feed

  • Question

  • Accepted upgrade to windows 10. It would not run. Working with Microsoft the tech he decided I should revert back to windows 7 and he sent the download software to revert to windows 7. I have been using the Windows 7 reversion for several months, with regular notices poping up to install windows 10. Now all of a sudden I get a notice I don't have valid windows software.

I went through the Microsoft validation process but it could not verify the validation.

All my original disks were lost in the California Butte Wildfire National Disaster.

I suggest a tech remote control my computer and resolve the problem. The date I downloaded the revision disk was 11/12/2015. You should be able to find my history in your data base.

  • To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool

(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

     Once saved, run the tool.

Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.

To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.x

      - in your own thread, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
