Hi Abid Naeem.
In order to upgrade your MCSA Windows Server 2012 R2 to MCSA Windows Server 2016 you have to pass the exam 70-743.

Hey Luigi Bruno,
Would exam 70-744 satisfy the requirement to upgrade from 2012 to 2016 as well? From what I have seen on the certification path page, 744 should work as well.
Thanks,
Shaun
I don't think so, since the 70-744 exam targets Windows Server 2016, the 70-743 is intended for candidates who have already earned an Windows Server 2008 MCSA or Windows Server 2012 R2 MCSA certification and want to upgrade to Windows Server 2016 MCSA; also, the 70-744 exam is aimed at earning the MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification, provided that the candidate has already earned the MCSA certification in Windows Server 2016, Cloud Platform, Linux on Azure, or Windows Server 2012.
Bye.

I misunderstood what the OP was trying to accomplish. It looks like OP wants to upgrade both the MCSA and MCSE certifications. You are correct that 70-744 will only upgrade the MCSE certification. I have MCSA: Server 2012 and MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure. I plan on taking 70-744 to upgrade to the MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification.
Thanks,
Shaun
