Using SyncToy to Backup Outlook (when Outlook is NOT open) RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I once had these instructions and have had to recreate my folder pairing.  Can someone share where Outlook would store my emails, calendar, etc.

Also, I once ran across easy instructions on backing up my windows explorer favorites by pairing a folder, would appreciate that as well.

    Thanks!

  • Outlook typically stores files on XP in C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

The folders are hidden by default so you may need to show hidden folders to get to it.

If you are talking about Internet Explorer Favorites, they are located in C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\favorites.
