  • I read your other thread.

When Project Member edits the task begin or end dates with Outlook Project Manager receive the request for approving task where old date and new date are the same! When Project Member edits dates in PWA then it's all ok - request contains old date and new date which are different! Problem with Exchnage Server sync services

I checked the behaviour on my outlook , it works as expected. The project manager received the Start and Due dates appropriately.

Did you ask the resource to try some other task?

Are you able to repro in all the projects? all the resources are experiencing the same issue.?

Are you in latest Cumulative Updates?

  • Is it occurring only for the user '39afaa82-f431-4aaf-83c2-6738063ec7fd' ? or everybody?

Post more information about your environment and history of the issue.

Do you have any folder in Project_name in Exchange server?

  • thanks for reply

first error appears for all users but only on a single project that was deleted from "delete enterprise objects". Where this folder can be on Exchange Server ?

about second error: issue with same dates appears for all tasks in any project. Only when i disable and then enable Exchange Sync  from "additional server settings" for the first time sync worked cool. But next time sync i receive this issue... We don't have March CU installed. I'll try to install it and then write feedback. Thanks

  • I'm also experiencing the same error:  "A folder called XXXX already exists".  This occurs when we delete a project, and then recreate a second project with the same name as the one that was deleted.

I don't see this issue listed in the KB description article so I'm wondering how the March CU would help?

Here is a copy of the full error message:

ExchangeSync() handle ExchangeSyncStatusingMessage for user (13313488-ae50-4b95-bc5a-53997be980af) queue message caused exception: A folder called Project_Name already exists.: ExchangeSyncGeneralProcessingFailure (40512). For more details, check the ULS logs on machine SEVER_NAME for entries with JobUID 6329f1e0-6cfc-463e-9268-341f7d1eee26.

UPDATE:  Our issue is resolved when the user deletes the folder from their tasks in Outlook.  Is there  a process within Project Server that will delete or remove project folders for the user's task list either when they are completed all tasks on the project or if they are no longer part of the project's resource team?

    Thanks,

    Gabriel
