How can we limit Reports in CRM? RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    We want to limit the users view of reports in CRM to only those they have created, or those that everyone should see. Not ones created by other users for personal use.

    We have set the users role rights to view only their own reports, and were going to reply on the 'availability' to set it to organistion or individual. However, if the users role is set to anything below "read:organisation" they cannot see any other reports (other than the default CRM standard reports) and their own. Even if the report is set to 'organisation availability'.

    Is there a weird role and report configuration that needs to be done to achieve this?

  • Hi bshah,

    I could be wrong but following is the description on how it works..

    1. -> any personal report which will not avaible to other users unless you have shared with them.. 

    2. -> any report which are marked as organisation will be available to user based on his security role Report entity previlages.

          for example ...if user's security role report setting is business unit then only the reports owned by his business unit user will be available to him..(even though report is marked as organisation wide)
