PWA 2013: Tile for Timesheet access on start page RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

is there an option to add a tile for timesheets on the PWA 2013 start page?

By default (and depending on permissions), the PWA 2013 start page seems to contain 4 tiles: Projects, Approvals, Tasks, Reports. Other items can be accessed via the quick launch navigation which an be edited to include timesheets, server setting and further options.

But since timesheets are officially the preferred method of tracking actual work and about the only button that end users actually require, is there a hidden/inactive 5th tile on the start page that needs to be activated by some trick or configuration? Or is there an easy way to add one? Or is it simply a case of "doesn't exist, too hard to add"?

Thank you in advance and kind regards,
    Adrian

  • If you Edit the Page and then hit the drop down on the Webpart to edit it, you'll see that you can add Timesheets as an option.

  • Thanks! So obvious and yet well hidden, why did that not occur to me?

PSA: There are link to your own timesheets, your team members' timesheets, your risks, your issues and your status reports.

    Kind regards,
