SCCM Back Up is not working RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have enabled the site maintenance Back up in my primary site. And the Database is not on the same server it is ia sepate box.

    I'm not able to figure it out wat is the problem for not happening the Back Up.

    Also find the log for the same.

  • Check the following accounts are having SYSADMIN privileges in the SQL Server.

    BUILTIN\System

    SCCM Site Server Computer Account.

  • Thanks Rajesh, NT Authority\System was missing as a Login and therefore sysadmin too - once added, the backups worked.

    Not sure what happened to make them stop working (as only a DEV SCCM site so gave up trying to fix it months ago) however I suspect it broke after upgrading to either SCCM SP2 or SQL 2008 SP2...

  • Hello!

    I understand that this subject is old but I need an advice. I have the same problem with sccm backup. I checked NT Authority\System and this account has privileges as public, securityadmin and sysadmin and mapping with databases master and sms_xxx. 

    Can someone tell me what else do I need to check?
