    Hello , 
                 ? SUBSTITUTE IDE FOR VISUAL STUDIO 6.0 FOR 2004 GAME ENGINE PROGRAMMING LESSON ?
             
                   I am following lessons from a 2004 book on game engine programming
    I wish to follow as though i were sitting in the class in 2004 doing this lesson . FIRST : I can not buy the visual studio 6 that is suggested by the author . I NEED a freeware IDE from that period TO SUBSTITUTE FOR VS 6.0 I THINK THE LANGUAGE MOSTLY USED WILL BE C++ . Any resonse appreciated . I AM A BEGINNER Thank you very much
