Can I install applicctions on WHS 2011 users can run via remote session? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm wondering if I can install an application on Windows Home Server 2011 and make it available to users to run on the server via remote access.  How do I make that application visible to users connecting remotely?

  • Not just "not supported". Not permitted per the EULA, so "illegal".

  • Not supported. Do you want to do this in your local network or via the Internet? For the former, they could connect by remote desktop or as in the second suggestion. AWIECO Remote Launcher will allow you to launch Programs remotely.

So it's illegal to run an application like SABnzbd on an WHS and (remote) access the webinterface through the LAN/WAN? :|

  • Web applications are (probably) okay, but will still be unsupported.

The OP seems to have been asking about desktop type applications, however.
