I would like to sync my laptop files to multiple servers (i.e. Different network paths). Rather than creating and maintaining two folder pairs it would be more convenient to maintain one folder pair and then just copy it within SyncToy and change the destination path.
Perhaps there is another way to do this with SyncToy but I could not find it.
I also came to the forum in the hopes of finding a way to copy a folder pair.
It's my understanding that Synctoy2 requires a separate folder pair for each destination drive so I think the ability to copy folder pairs would be a most helpful feature as people who bother to back up their data at all, probably do so to multiple drives. It would save me a great deal of time and ensure consistency between folder pairs that I want to be identical except for the destination drive. The copy process could simply add the word (Copy) to the end of the original folder pair name, and/or provide a field/window for the user to enter the new folder name during the copy process.
Please note: I'm not complaining. I think SyncToy is a great little app and I really appreciate Microsoft for offering it at no charge and for providing this forum. A copy option would be awesome though!
