Noel, I did transfer the installation to a larger hard drive. But that was months ago. I kept the original (I think) HD and installation so will pull that out and see if that works.

Have you recently transferred your installation from one drive to another? This set of file errors seems often to occur when drive-cloning tools are used that are not properly Win 7 compliant.
