Wants me to renew after uninstall when I have 3 months left? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hiya!  I was having some problems with Onecare, so I uninstalled/reinstalled.  Now it's telling me that I have to renew my subscription for another year, but my sub is supposed to be good until June.  How can I get around this issue and reinstall under my current sub?  The only thing I can click is Renew and that takes me to a page that wants all my info again.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Check your computer date and time. If your computer date and time is set correctly you should see a "Subscribe" button. Selecting "Subscribe" then entering the Live ID and password associated with your One Care account will activate One Care.

  • Date and time are all good.  The original problem I was having was that one of the services (running vista) would stop, and then one care would turn red on me, so I uninstalled/reinstalled, if that helps.

  • What service was stopping? And did you click subscribe in OneCare and use the LiveID for your subscription to activate? What is the status of your subscription when you sign in with that LiveID at https://billing.microsoft.com ?
