We originally were running CRM 2011 and SharePoint 2010 for document management on Account and Opportunity entities. When we created a new opportunity, the folder name in SharePoint exactly matched the opportunity topic name in CRM.
We have since upgraded to CRM 2013 (this is all On-Premise). We have upgraded the SharePoint list component as well. When we create new opportunities, the folder name is now the opportunity Topic name with a string of random numbers/letters (I
am assuming the opportunity ID) appended to it. Is this to be expected? If so, is this to protect against a user creating multiple opportunities within an account with the same exact topic?
I know there will be complaints from the end-user community on this and would just like to know the reason why it is happening.
Thanks
