SBS 2008 - cannot apply .net framework 4 updates RRS feed

  • While patching  a company’s server, I noticed that the .NET Framework Security updates were timing out, but every other update was installing successfully.  After all of the updates had passed, I checked the logs in Event Viewer, finding the error code 0x80070652 which means that another installation was in progress. I closed everything down, and ended everything in Task Manager that could be associated with an installer. I tried to install again, but I got the same message. I’ve tried rebooting the server and installing the updates and I get the same error. I found the KB numbers of the updates and I downloaded the standalone installers, running first with normal rights and also admin rights but I still get the same error message. What other solutions can I try to solve this issue? The server in question is a Windows SBS 2008 SP2 (64-bit) and the updates and their KB numbers are listed below:
