70-640 (80-640) and PowerShell AD module RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am currently studying for the 70-640 (80-640 here in Canada) Configuring Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Exam.  It is my understanding that we are expected to know basic PowerShell commands for working with AD.

My question is, does that now include the Active Directory module available for PS 2.0?  I am using the MS Press self-paced study guide, and it covers working with AD in PowerShell before the release of the module.

Does anybody know if it will be worth my time (for exam purposes) to learn the new module as well?

    Thanks for any input!

Answers

  • Hi,

If the exam contains any powershell questions, it assumes the use of powershell
as it comes with Windows 2008  (PS 1.0) without any extra add-on, plug-in or updates installed.

    Rob.
