  • I just recently purcased 1 care, and added 1 PC in my circle.

    Everything was working ok until I had to update the computer that I had added on.

    I updated and backupped the add on comp, but when I had to update the genuine windows tool

    the comp in question downloads the tool then does nothing, it wont install it.

    It will set there all day if I let it.

    And if I try to close out of the download screen it wont do that either.

    I have to (Alt, Control, Delete) in order to get out of the screen.

    This comp is my sons computer and I don't have his logon password, So I just set

    1 care to be managed from his comp, But it shows on my computer, and shows up with

    a yellow 1 circle. My comp is a green 1 circle.

    So how do I get his comp to download, and Install this tool that 1 care wants his comp to have?

    I went through the basic help steps, and that didn't work.

    Any other suggestions will help.

  • To get you own PC back to green, change your PC to stop being a Hub (for now.) Then you can address the Windows Genuine Advantage issue on your son's PC, which will need to be done at that PC, probably logged in as an administrator. It isn't something you can fix from the OneCare interface.
