Windows 7 Starter on an Asus EEE PC saying not genuine all of a sudden RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would post a Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool log, but it gave me an error of "Failed to create output files, hr = 0x80070665. Please contact support." Any ideas?

  • Ignore the error message - it should still copy/paste fine.

  • Your installation is showing as genuine - but it's never been validated.

What happens if you attempt validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate ??
