Windows 2012R2 , CRM2013 and IFD, is it really possible?

Question

From the sketchy information I have seen, would I be right in believing that the WAP Server handles all incoming requests.
I am no expert by a long chalk, but after spending weeks trying to accomplish this, I can only assume that either I am not grasping it, or it’s not possible. I am throwing myself on the mercy of the experts for step by step assistance. I am trying to set up a new CRM server and be able to access it from outside of our domain. Instructions for CRM 2011, ADFS2 on windows 2008R2 was fairly easy to follow, but Windows 2012R2 is a whole different kettle of fish!
I have 3 Window 2012R2 VM servers running on a development Windows 2008R2 server.
All three servers have the same certificate *.domain.co.uk installed
Server 1 – CRM 2013 Server
Internal IP 99.99.99.99
CRM Organization - DEVCRM
CRM Deployment Manager Web Address CrmDevelopment.domain.co.uk
Server 2 – WAP Server
Internal Address – 88.88.88.88
External Address – 111.111.111.111
Server 3 – SQL 2012 & ADFS 3
Internal Address 77.77.77.77
I have full access to our external DSNs and can add records as well as our internal DNS server.
Any and all assistance would be retrieved gratefully. If it’s easier, I am happy enough to start from scratch
Dont ask me .. i dont know

Hi
In CRM 2013 compatibility list, Win Server 2012 R2 is not there. So that means its not yet compatible.
Also, I read somewhere that ADFS 3.0 is not yet completely ready for CRM 2013.
As quoted from MSDN : (Original Link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699671(v=crm.6).aspx#BKMK_Windows_Server_2012 )
Windows Server operating system
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2013 can be installed only on Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2012 64-bit-based computers. The specific versions and editions of Windows Server that are supported for installing and running Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2013 are listed in the following sections.
Important
The following Windows Server versions are not supported for installing and running Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2013: - Windows Server 2012 R2 editions (support pending update rollup)
- Windows Server 2012 Foundation
- Windows Server 2012 Essentials
- Microsoft Windows Small Business Server editions
- The Windows Server 2003 family of operating systems
