Dynamics CRM 4.0 in Multi Domain Enviornment

Question
-
I have CRM installed into a VM test environment with 2 domain controllers in the following configuration:
- There are 2 domains in this configuration with a TWO Way trust established between the two domains
DOMAIN_1 - CRM is installed into this domain, the installation admin login works fine ex. DOM1/firstname.lastname
DOMAIN_2 - When I add a use to this domain, CRM cannot authenticate this user via this domain ex. DOM2/firstname.lastname
Any suggestions on how to handle this?Monday, November 16, 2009 8:39 PM

Does DOMAIN_2 have AD Domain Level and do you have rights to browse user in DOMAIN_2 ?

Hi,
Is dom2/firstname.lastname the 'windows logon name(pre-windows 2000)' ? If not, please try to login with that.
A cpl other items i'd check:
--verify your trust is ok
--verify dns is setup properly and both domains can reach the crm server
--verify the time is correct on all servers

Not sure what you mean with the first sentence however yes the dom2/firstname.lastname is a login for the network.I'll look into the other items you suggested I have verified I can ping DOM2 from the CRM Server.Tuesday, November 17, 2009 2:50 PM
