Our company is planning to migrate from current company tenant to parent company tenant..
initial tenant: abc.onmicrosoft.com to parent tenant: xyz.onmicrosoft.com
The current users are still the same person, but will be in new tenant
What are the impacts on the existing entities in the CRM ?
For example an entity's Owner. Should I create a migration script to update the entity's owner GUID ?
What should I do in term of migration script in order to ensure that users don't lose records ?
I have received 2 answers:
- First, we don't need to do anything once a ticket is created in CRM support since they will ensure everything is migrated..
- Second, we still have to create to update the entity's owner GUID to new one after migration
Which one is correct ?
