CRM project service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Anyone know how I can gain access to the CRM Project Service module for CRM 2016 RU1 ?

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/install-and-customize-crm-project-service.aspx

According to the link above, it should be possible to activate it from my portal, but I dont see it there.

And yes... I did double check for the version of the CRM installation.

  • I think you have to buy it first before you can add it to a production instance.

I have added the trial solution to a trial instance of CRM. The link that you quoted has this statement:

"Only install the project service automation trial solution on a trial or sandbox instance of CRM. The project service automation trial is not supported on production instances of CRM."

I suspec that the last sentence means that you won't see the trial offered in a production instance which matches your experience.

  • Well.. it should still be possible to add it directly to a sandbox.

I heard that it might have been moved to the new app environment. Checking that out.

  • But were you able to install it from the app environment into your production CRM?
