managed code and unmanaged code RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi

I have read many articale about managed code and unmanaged code. as

1.Managed code is code that has its execution managed by CLR.

    2. Managed Code is what Visual Basic .NET and C# compilers create. It compiles to Intermediate Language (IL), not to machine code that could run directly on your computer.

I want to clear that, Is IL code is called managed or unmanaged code or anything different .Please explain what is exactly managed code.

    Thanks in advance.
