Mail notification workflow that is "waiting" RRS feed

  • I have a workflow that was working. It would send an e-mail when the owner of the activity was changed. It sent an e-mail based on a template to the new owner.

    I added a new field "requestor" to the CC on tghe e-mail. Now the workflow stays "waiting" in the system jobs and never completes (and never sends the e-mail).

    Are there logs one can examine to troubleshoot this kind of problem. In this case I think I know what the problem is, but this has happened before and I need to have a better idea of how to troubleshoot workflow issues.

  • if any of the emails are invalid, or set not to receive emails the email won't send. You could turn on tracing on the Server or open the records workflows page then on the waiting workflow see if any steps failed.
