  • I can't find a release date

this question also doesn't mention a release date but points to the skills measured and a book:

I found this study guide which seems to include a lot of helpful links.

    Hope this helps.

  • The book is now listed on Amazon for preorder.

After adding the book to my cart, it showed an estimated delivery date of Apr. 25, 2013 - Apr. 29, 2013

  • Does anybody know if the books series named "Exam Ref" has the same kind of content that is found in the previous "Self-Peaced Training Kit" series?

Specificaly, this Exma Ref 70-483 comes with the companion CD with examples and simulators?

  • The book is listed as July 2013 release. Too bad I need to take the test earlier than that.  I tried speaking with a microsoft certification representative in live-chat, but all they would do is point me to the overview page for the certification and recommend I take the 3000USD 5-day course.

  • Hi,

I am not sure what your time frame is for taking the exam, but there is another related book coming out in May 2013. I know two of the authors. I think that the book will be very helpful. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/MCSD-Certification-Toolkit-Exam-70-483/dp/1118612094/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1367244044&sr=1-2&keywords=70-483

  • I know I am little late to the party here but...

The MCSD toolkit book listed by Mike has been given many negative reviews. It seems that the print edition errata is not being updated but the eBook is. So beware.

I have however heard good things about the following book: http://www.amazon.com/Exam-Ref-70-483-Programming-C/dp/0735676828/

  • It seems both books have been given some pretty rash reviews about typos.

I know the Wrox book was co-authored by someone (Gerry O'Brien - others?) who used to work at Microsoft Learning as a planner  on the SQL Server and developer certification path. Here is his blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/gerryo/

I am not sure if any of this information is helpful but I thought I'd join you in sharing the bits and pieces I know.

    Good luck!

    Best wishes, Davin Mickelson
