We have following scenario and need to implement IFD:-
1. Multiple Application Servers (Application Server Role)
2. Multiple Platform Servers (Platform Server Role)
Need help to configure IFD App Root Domain and IFD SDK Root Domain so that aplication and Outlook for CRM will be accessible over the internet and intranet.
Thanks!

I've not done this, but I expect that the IFD App Root Domain should point to a load-balanced Url (that is accessible by the remote clients) for the Application Servers, whereas the IFD SDK Root domain should be a load-balanced Url for the Platform Servers

For multiple servers Network Load Balance(NLB) is the solution.

Do we need DNS entry for each load balanced Url?
If this requires secure connection (HTTPS) do we need Certificate for each server? OR wild character single domain certificate will be sufficient?

What I understand is there will be one NLB for multiple Application Servers and one NLB for Multiple Platform Servers.
I am not clear about following items:-
1.DNS entries for NLB and internal routing
2.IFD App Root Domain , IFD SDK Root Domain, AD App Root Domain, AD SDK Root Domain Settings so that Application + Outlook will work over the Internet and Intranet
3.All this should happen in secure way (HTTPS) Connection.
4.Number of Certificates required
